As summer rolls on and the schools holidays are in full flow, the UK staycation scene hits its peak. Holiday parks, campsites, and caravan parks become magnets for families, couples, and solo travellers looking to make the most of the Great British countryside.
Booking a staycation during peak season takes a bit of planning â but with the right tips, it can be just as rewarding. The charm of a UK holiday park lies in its variety, accessibility, and the experiences on offer.
When Is Peak Season â and Why Plan Ahead?
Peak season generally runs from late June through to early September, covering the summer holidays and most bank holidays. Itâs a time when demand is high, prices peak, and availability can be limited â especially for family-friendly parks like ours.
That said, booking a staycation holiday in peak season doesnât have to be stressful or expensive. If you can avoid the Saturday-to-Saturday rush you often find that mid-week breaks (Monday to Friday) can come with nightly discounts and improved availability. If youâre not tied to school holidays, consider travelling in early September â when the weather is still warm but the crowds are thinner.
If youâre flexible and can travel with short notice, keep an eye on last-minute cancellations or unsold pitches. We sometimes offer discounts on late deals, usually itâs best to call is or email to find out the latest availability.
Booking direct with us not only supports independent businesses, but often gives you access to better rates, more transparent policies, and a more personal experience. So whether itâs a camping our touring break that you have been planning all year, or a last-minute escape to the countryside, your perfect summer staycation is just a few clicks away.
